The Barrington Police Department invites the community to join Police Chief David Dorn, Assistant Chief John Burke, and several other police officers for “Coffee with a Cop” on Wednesday, October 4, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Cook Street Coffee, 100 E. Station Street, in downtown Barrington.

National “Coffee with a Cop” Day (October 4) is a national initiative aimed at helping break down the barriers in communities between officers and residents that can make it hard to address crime and public safety.

It is a simple plan:

Officers invite their residents to join them for a cup of coffee and conversation.

Today, more than 2,000 law enforcement agencies throughout the United States participate in the event.

Children are invited to come with their parents to meet police officers and check out their vehicles, as well!
