Traditional companies like Pabst Blue Ribbon and Guinness were in company with large and small craft brewers, creating the ultimate in tasting for beer lovers.
Arriving from all over the Chicagoland area, over 600 people flocked to this year’s event. Sue Olafson, Director of Communications and Marketing for the Barrington Area Council on Aging (BACOA), hosts of the event, expressed excitement about the turnout.
“We sold more tickets online than in year’s past, and with the great
weather, it was an incredibly successful event,” Sue shared.
The brewers were joined by local restaurants that offered a great variety of food to sample, outside of the pretzel necklaces popular with the crowd.
Sponsors like Weber Grill, showcased their products in action. There were plenty of examples of what can go well with a nice cold beer!
Hosted by the Barrington Area Council on Aging (BACOA), the 13th Annual Brew Fest raises funds to support the important programming BACOA provides the elderly population in the Barrington Area.
