South Barrington Welcomes New Special Housing Addition

The LaSalle Group, held a grand opening of a new Autumn Leaves, memory care center, in South Barrington on Thursday evening.



Located at the corner of Bartlett Rd and Higgins Rd, the 29,000 square foot community has room for approx. 50 residents. Autumn Leaves specializes in providing care for patients with Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia.
The assisted living community is designed to address the specific needs of memory care patients with wide hallways, themed rooms, and lighting that is brighter and more relaxing. Creating a homelike environment, the facility also has an outside courtyard, garden, family rooms and library.



The culinary team of the center made all the gourmet food for the event, showcasing the different types of cuisine that will be offered to residents.



South Barrington Mayor Paula McCombie welcomed The LaSalle Group and Autumn Leaves to the village and helped participate in the ribbon cutting along with the Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce.



Barbara Schechtel, Executive Director, spent four years at the Vernon Hills location and will now be overseeing this location. Police Chief Roman and other South Barrington village staff and residents also attended the event.
