Lake Barrington News
December 21, 2017

Barrington Countryside Fire Protection District firefighters accustomed to responding to multi-alarm fires will instead answer the call of ringing bells this Saturday, December 23rd, as they proudly raise funds for the Salvation Army of McHenry County.

Firefighters will serve as bell ringers at the Fox River Grove Jewel/Osco (800 Northwest Highway 14), located in the Stonehill Shopping Center, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.  They will be joined by their brethren from the Fox River Grove Fire Protection District.

“It’s our privilege to support the work of the Salvation Army and the important role they play in helping those in need – during the holidays and throughout the year,” Assistant Fire Chief Scott Motisi explained.  “We hope residents can take some time out of their busy schedules to come by and see us.  Your donations will help make a difference.”
