This year's Barrington Street Fest was a great team effort.
Many Rotary members worked 12-14 hours at various posts on Cook Street serving a crowd estimated at 2,500. The rain did impact attendance a bit, but many pulled out their umbrellas and continued to enjoy the bands.
Attendees told us that they came for the music and loved the offerings from the various food trucks and pizza from Remember Charlotte's.
The Kids Zone was very popular with the younger set. Parents watched their kids make snow and slime, learn to write computer code and, under the direction of Chicago musician Jonas Friddle, the kids marched down Cook Street playing instruments they made from household objects.
Good music. Good food. Happy people. And the Barrington Breakfast Rotary Club is thankful for our community's support.
