The BJWC Philanthropy Committee welcomed its 2018 Grant Award Recipients for a Reception in their honor last Friday morning at the Barrington Area Library. Organizations with missions supporting Domestic Violence Support, Therapies for those with special needs, Programming for seniors, as well as scholarships to for arts and athletics for children in need were among the  general categories for the grants.  The recipients each gave a short overview of their organizations and the specific project our grant would fund.  A highlight among several was GiGi of GiGi’s playhouse who is now 15, addressed our group with heartfelt thanks as to what our grant many years ago meant to her.  In total, over $105,000 was distributed to many appreciative organizations.

Congratulations to our recipients and to you, our members, whose hard work throughout the year allows us to touch the lives of many.
