The girl's golf coach at Barrington High School has been named the 2018 Golf Coach of the Year by the National High School Athletic Coaches Association (NHSACA).

Jodi Schoeck was selected for the honor from a pool of eight finalists from across the country. The announcement came on Wednesday, June 27th at the NHSACA National Coach of the Year Awards Banquet in Sioux Falls, SD.

Schoeck started coaching the girl's golf team at Barrington High School in the late 1980s. This past fall the team took 2nd place in the Class 2A state tournament.

The NHSACA Coach of the Year awards are the most prestigious awards given to high school coaches in America. Some 152 coaches earn the “National Spotlight” each June at the Annual Convention.
