Barrington High School senior Hari Ramakrishnan is one of just 26 students worldwide who earned a perfect score on the Advanced Placement Microeconomics Exam.

The exam was taken in May 2017. Exams are scored on a scale of 1 to 5, where a 5 is equivalent to a grade of A in the corresponding college course. Hari not only received the top score of 5, but was one of 26 students in the world to earn every point possible on the exam.

A total of 511 students in the world earned every point possible on 23 of the 37 AP Exams, by answering every multiple choice question correctly and earning full points on the free response section.

Hari is involved many activities at BHS including: Math Team, Scholastic Bowl and WYSE (Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering) Team. He is the high school liaison for Citizens for Conservation, a local environmental conservation organization. He was also on the Varsity Volleyball team during the 2016-17 school year and plans to try out again in March.

Hari does not yet know where he plans to attend college for the 2018-19 school year.
