This week the Barrington 220 Board of Education held a special public meeting to discuss the Blueprint 220 master-facilities initiative.
The board met with the Blueprint 220 Core Team, which consists of community members, Barrington 220 teachers and administrators, Pepper Construction and architectural firm DLR Group.
The meeting included a presentation from DLR Group and Pepper Construction, which lists possible upgrades for each district facility and the costs associated with those upgrades. The possible renovations are based on the district's four teaching and learning priorities, in addition to community feedback received from the Blueprint 220 informational meetings held at every school during the month of November.
The board will review the information and continue discussing the next steps in the Blueprint 220 initiative at its meeting on Feb. 6 at 7 pm at Barrington High School.
