Nine BHS students named National Merit Semifinalists

Barrington 220 is proud to announce nine Barrington High School students have been named semifinalists in the 2018 National Merit Scholarship competition.

The students are among about 16,000 students nationwide who have been named semifinalists. They now have the opportunity to compete for about 7,500 National Merit Scholarships, worth more than $32 million.

The following Barrington High School students are National Merit Scholar Semifinalists:

  • Ryan Cremer

  • Dillon Davey

  • Kaylin Hu

  • Hari Ramakrishnan

  • Grace Robbins

  • Wilder Seitz

  • Alexander Zhang

  • Peyton Zona

Founded in 1955, the National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition scholarships. High school students enter the program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
