“Musical Memories” by Bravissimo at The Parker Playhouse in Barrington

Enjoy the best of Broadway and international favorites on Sunday, March 5th at 3:00 p.m. as Bravissimo Vocal Ensemble presents, “Musical Memories,” a marvelous mélange of musical theatre, inspirational crossovers and uplifting opera at The Parker Playhouse, 117 East Northwest Highway in Barrington.

Parker Playhouse is one of Barrington's newest up and coming theaters - small, intimate and personal; perfect for highlighting the talents of tenor Oscar Menoyo (Hoffman Estates), sopranos Susan Dennis (Bartlett) and Kimberly Albrecht (Hawthorn Woods), accompanied by Alexander Zintchencko of Palatine. Tickets are $20 general admission, $15 seniors (60 ), and $10 students. They may be purchased online HERE and at the door.

Oscar Menoyo, is a versatile tenor, who currently sings with The Tenors 3 and Bravissimo Vocal Ensemble. Throughout the years, he has enjoyed performing as a featured soloist with several regional opera companies, and also performed with The Lyric Opera of Chicago Chorus. His repertoire runs a wide range of styles, from musical theater, Neapolitan songs, oratorio, and classic pop to opera.


Soprano, Susan Dennis, Bravissimo’s artistic director, is equally at home with classical and Broadway repertoire. Dennis was recently music/artistic director and soloist with Elgin Opera. She has been a featured soloist with New Millennium Orchestra, Symphonic Pops Orchestra of Chicago, Navy Pier Pops Orchestra, Harper College Symphony Orchestra, Northwest Festival Orchestra, and the Opening Night Broadway Review Troupe. She holds a BM from Eastern Illinois University and a MM in vocal performance from Northwestern University, and is a member of the vocal faculty at Elmhurst College and Harper College.

Soprano, Kimberly Albrecht enjoys singing a wide range of styles – from jazz to classical, and has performed in the Chicagoland area for over 30 years. She produces for Bravissimo, and recently performed and produced musical theatre/opera shows for Elgin Opera. She also solos with the Jazz Pizazz Trio; reinvigorating her jazz/“standards” performance origins with the University of Michigan Jazz Workshop, and society orchestras. Kimberly is a frequent soloist with Lutheran Church of the Atonement, Barrington Village Singers, was a guest soloist at the Sanfilippo Foundation Christmas Concert series and a featured soloist at the Barrington Area Sacred Choral Festivals.
