On Friday, February 3, the LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs and Kare 9 Military Ministry Dogs were invited to Barbara Rose Elementary School in Barrington,

The dogs and handlers greeted the students and accepted a donation from the students and teachers raised by the school's Student Council.

Earlier this year, students contributed money each day for a week. The fifth-grade class collected the highest class donation amount, so they presented a very generous check to Joe Ferwerda, LCC Director of K-9 Ministries. LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs Eunice (LCC Staff), Ruthie (LCC Staff), and Tobias (Lord of Glory – Grayslake, Illinois) were joined by LCC Kare 9 Military Ministry Dogs Blitz and Flex, to greet the students from each class and bring comfort and compassion to all.

The LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs help to bring comfort and compassion to people in need of emotional support.
